Québec boasts the world's largest snowmobiling trail network, with over 33,000 km of marked and maintained trails. Of these, no fewer than 2,000 km of marked trails are in Duplessis, where first-class snow conditions all winter long ensure the kind of conditions that snowmobiling dreams are made of. Between December and April, riders can enjoy spectacular scenery along the Trans-Québec Trail #3, one of the province's loveliest, as well as numerous unmarked local trails.

Discover the Vastness of Duplessis Clad All in White

With the sea on one side and the forest on the other, snowmobiling in Duplessis is like nothing else on earth. In this vast expanse of northern and maritime landscapes filled to the brim with snow you feel nature's heart beating. Explore the natural grandeur of Minganie and the Port-Cartier/Sept-Îles area, track the caribou herds under the northern lights in the Fermont backcountry, or traverse the Basse-Côte-Nord along the Route Blanche. One thing's for sure-you'll know you're not any place else!

Enthusiasts looking for short excursions with family and friends close to the region's main urban centers can rent snowmobiles and gear from local suppliers. Some businesses also offer experienced guides, while a number of snowmobiling clubs can provide whatever help you might need with extended expeditions. You'll be welcomed with open arms wherever you go! All the essential ingredients of an enjoyable, trouble-free trip are here, including restaurants, accommodations, supplies, service stations, and even repair shops.

You can connect with the Côte-Nord and Duplessis regional snowmobile trail network from the north side of the St. Lawrence River via Trans-Québec Trail #3 from Tadoussac, or from the south shore by crossing on the Camille-Marcoux ferry, which runs from Matane to Baie-Comeau and Godbout.
