“THE 19th ANNUAL GRANDS PRIX DU TOURISME DE DUPLESSIS (DUPLESSIS TOURISM AWARDS) RECOGNIZES 12 ENTERPRISES”

On March 6, 2005, under the theme “25 years to the rhythm of the seasons”, the Duplessis Regional Tourism Association announced the winners of the Grands Prix du tourisme québécois de la région de Duplessis (Québec Tourism Awards for the Duplessis region), held at Hôtel Les Mouettes in Sept-Îles.

Close to 120 people joined the festivities to applaud the twelve enterprises that were recognized, among 26 nominees, for their continuous quest for excellence.

Accommodation Award – B&B (Gîte)

• Tournoi provincial de volley-ball Invitation Orange-Alouette, Sept-Îles: Tournoi Orange is the largest volleyball tournament in Québec. There are close to 190 teams who participate each year and come from all over Québec, Labrador and the Maritimes.

Tourism Entreprise Award – Public Sector

• Camping Municipal de Havre-Saint-Pierre: Sleep in charming surroundings, under the northern lights, while listening to the waves crashing and the whales singing.

Tourism Enterprise Award – Organizational Sector
presented by Lorraine Richard, Member for Duplessis

• Tourisme du 50o parallèle, Port-Cartier: The nature in Port-Cartier is a welcome change of scenery… Splendid surroundings and happy vacations, in summer and in winter!!!
